Alliance Land Planning and Engineering is looking for an experienced engineer to join our leadership team. RESPONSIBILITES
- Design and coordinate the preparation of preliminary and final engineering documents, including initial site plans, grading, street improvements, and underground wet utilities
- Produce complete civil engineering plan sets using AutoCAD or Civil3D
- Provide leadership for on-site personnel
- Lead communications with clients, coordinate with the management team(s) through the contract negotiation process
- Coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including budgets, schedules, estimates, client communications, agency coordination, subcontractors, and consultants
- Manage projects to deliver quality results on time and within the project budget
- Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion
- Resolve conflict disputes between stakeholders
- Ensure subcontractors are fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work and that the subcontractor corrects all identified deficiencies
- Manage client and staff relationships by communicating clear and reasonable expectations
- Possess exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written
- Work independently as well as in a team environment with clients, sub-consultants, public agencies, commercial vendors, and staff
- Develop advanced solutions to resolve construction and land development issues
- Perform final quality control design check
- Maintain the highest level of excellence and decorum
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
- An active California P.E. license.
- At least four years as lead project manager of industrial, commercial, or residential construction projects.
- Skilled in the use of computer technology including O365, AutoCAD, Civil 3D a plus, Microsoft Project a plus, Microsoft Excel

- Wages: $40+/hour DOE

Your focus will be in the areas of rough grading, fine grading, street design, domesc water, sewer, & storm drain design.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Be enrolled in engineering coursework at San Diego State University (SDSU), University of California, San Diego (UCSD), or University of San Diego (USD)
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred
- Basic knowledge of Hydrology and Hydraulics is preferred
- EIT certificate is a plus
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

The right person is responsible, dependable, and personable and can run, administer and organize project activities in cooperation with and under the direction of the Project Manager(s) for multiple development projects. We want someone who works well with a team and independently and is capable of learning new skills quickly while under pressure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate project submittals, plan approvals and permitting requirements for various development projects
- Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives
- Meet the clients' needs as the project evolves
- Help prepare and track project logs, schedules, and task lists
- Monitor and track the project's progress and handle any issues that arise
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all participants
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in cooperating with Project Managers
- General Office duties (phones, filing, printing)
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools
- Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat is a plus
- Construction, planning, or engineering background is a plus but not required
- Willingness to travel day-to-day within the Santa Clarita/Valencia area, Los Angeles County, and surrounding cities/counties

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist Project Managers in creating project designs from start to finish, including conceptual/master planning and design.
- Contribute to developing, planning, and creating documentation addressing layout, grading, utilities, stormwater management, erosion/sediment control, roadways, water resources, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide technical support to civil engineers, drafters, and administrative support to ensure the accurate and timely completion of projects, including the review and approval of documentation, to comply with Company and client standards and requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in land development
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018 required
- Experience creating and manipulating 3D Surfaces
- Must have experience with project management, client relations, and design
- Must be detail-oriented, with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering preferred
- EIT preferred

- You will also be a part of the development, planning, and creation of documentation addressing details such as layout, grading, utilities, stormwater management, erosion/sediment control, roadways, water resources, and regulatory compliance.
- Essential functions also include providing support to ensure the accurate and timely completion of projects to remain compliant with Company and client standards and requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Civil Drafting
- Proficiency with AutoDesk Civil 3D 2018 or newer
- Experience with creating 3D Surfaces is a plus
- Must be detail-oriented, with excellent oral and written communication skills in team environments
- Ability to meet deadlines and multi-tasking
- Ability to work over 40 hours per week if necessary
